As the new Communications Director at diPietro Todd, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t holding my breath until my first Fashion Week in New York. Wow, what to pack? how many cameras to bring? what color should my hair be?! With my lavender hair, 2 Canons and an overstuffed suitcase, I set off to meet Moises (our Assistant Creative Director) at our New York apartment for the week. Everyday was a new adventure! The night before, Kerastase would send Moises the addresses of our shows for that day which included an abandoned Post Office, an old warehouse on the Piers and Lincoln Center itself. We raced all over the city in 90 degree weather shuttling Moises from show to show to work with the fabulous creative powerhouse that is Odile Gilbert and the Kerastase team as they created brilliant hair looks for each show. Moi, a creative machine himself, worked very closely with Odile to execute each look for designers such as Suno, Rodarte, Rachel Zoe, Thakoon and Libertine. Akemi joined us for the latter part of our stay as did Dawn Seelenbacher for her show with Reem Acra through Rene Furterer. It was a whirlwind-dream-come-true and I will turning blue in the face until the next one!
Sincerely,
Kelly Nyland
Communications Director
