Heads up to our blog readers: we’ve got new talent on the Mill Valley salon floor, and her books are filling up fast. Lacey Leeder is one of the most recent graduates of the rigorous diPietro Todd apprentice program. Her training culminated with her appropriately titled show, “Debut,”– an homage to her idiosyncratic muse, Bjork.

“I often find myself lost in the harmonic sound and rhythm which is Bjork’s music,” Lacey stated. “As a newly graduated apprentice at diPietro Todd, I can artistically relate to this concept, and to her! She’s not afraid of criticism, nor is she afraid of immersing herself in a new and foreign culture. As an artist, it is my biggest priority to remain inspired; this collection is meant to reflect this passion that I hold for the arts as a whole.”
Judging by the sharply asymmetric cuts, bold texture and pure, vibrant hues she sent down the runway, we’d say Lacey has harnessed her inspiration beautifully.
